Disabling Runes
Im really tired every time i want my heros to run different builds that i have to buy new Superior runes. I propose a system where you can buy runes and put as many as you want on your heros armor but have only 1 enabled per armor piece.
Example:
Olias
Head: Has +3 Blood, Death, Soul reaping, Curses. BUT only 1 can be enabled, a little window opens up so you can decide when one you want. Can can be used for all armor pieces. So you dont have to buy new runes everytime. This could go for your character as well

You do know that hero's armour cannot break don't you??? So there is no need to buy new superiors just remove the ones you don't want on with expert salvage kits, you keep the rune and the armour and allows you to swap them round, bit sotrage inefficient but i don't run that many different builds..

Not really necessary to implement, having unbreakable hero armor should be good enough.

Outside of Mesmer, Ritualist, Assassin, and Paragon, we have 3 of each class of hero. Since their armor doesn't break with salvaging, it is easy to remove runes and reuse them. I often toss runes/insignias on a hero that I may want to use later. It may take up a little extra storage space, but you can easily store extra runes in Xunlai and swap them on heroes as you need/want.
Not a bad idea, but not one that is needed. I'm /meh about it as I'd use it, but dont' need it.

Both for hero armour, and player armour.
Better yet: buy a rune, have an option to "consume it" (removes the rune from the game) and it gets unlocked on your PvE character's armour builder (similar to PvP thing but just for armour and only for runes/insignia/dye that have already been used).

I agree with Zahr. You should be able to use an armor builder window for your heroes just like with PvP characters. That way you could save Equipment templates for them.

Because people would know to look for Smart Armor in search...
I hate when people say use search when they name things so wierd its so hard to find half the time.
However /notsigned to this.
Its very easy to just salvage the rune and put new one on.

When you do that, you waste a use of a salvage kit, wich costs money. Yes, it adds to the goldsink, but there's bigger sinks...lockpicks is an example.
I do agree with Zahr, saving templates works too

I like that heros are able to keep changing without breaking their armor, but that just pisses me off even more when I run the risk of destroying mine, so I have no choice but to just add the rune for preventing that (and wasting the previous rune in the process).
If keeping it this way was targeted for being a goldsink, I call BULL****! Make runes a hassle-free attachable/unattachable system.

I just buy perfect salvage kits too, and use them, for my own armor. Or, keep different sets of armor for different builds. Mind you, I don't find the need to change my own runes or even heroes runes that often.
I tend to have my heroes set up for different purposes. Take necros, for example.
Master of Whispers is my minion master, with a few rit spells thrown in.
Livia is blood and curses.
Olias is curses and death, but not a minion master.
There are so many heroes, I don't really find a huge amount of rune swapping is necessary.
Of course, I also like to build all rounders. Characters that are specked so well, they can handle "most" situations without alteration. Since they're usually overpowered, it's not much of an issue, though in special circumstances, like fighting the glacial griffon, I do end up moving a rune or three.
/not signed, not because it's a bad idea, but because there are more important things that need to be addressed first.

But I like the idea of using the pvp-style armor/weapon window.

i always thought thats way should be. just how skills become unlocked when you buy them or use balth faction. heroes have access to them. why not runes/weapons.
most peoples main characters are geared up but why would you want to salvage like 20 runes to put onto another characters heroes. gets old and takes several minutes swapping them if people are waiting for you its would be annoying.
